Metadata for pictures, videos and multi-page documents

Organize your assets and use any metadata

Using Digital Asset Management with TESSA DAM, you can organize your assets with any metadata and find them.

Various possibilities to work with metadata

Different metadata options provide you with the best way to structure your assets and use various features of the search to find them again. With TESSA DAM, you can automatically or manually assign metadata, or you can be easily supported by automated TESSA suggestions.

Manual assignment of metadata

Metadaten für deine Assets

With Digital Asset Management with TESSA DAM you can maintain any metadata (also multilingual) for every asset or version. You can freely define the available fields and fill them manually or automatically. This way you can specify categories, assign keywords, enter any texts (single-line or multi-line) and much more. The following fields and attributes are already provided by TESSA in the standard configuration:

  • Categories
  • Keywords
  • Title
  • Description
  • Visibility
  • Permissions
  • workflow
  • Comments
  • relationships to other assets
  • Relationships with products or articles
  • License and Release Information
  • validity periods
  • ..and many others

Any additional fields and attributes are individually configurable. This allows TESSA to manage your assets optimally and integrate them perfectly into your IT landscape and processes.

Image recognition and automatic keywording

Automatisch ermittelte Schlagworte für deine Assets

With the integrated image recognition TESSA DAM is able to automatically make suggestions for possible keywords. These suggestions can then be accepted or rejected by you. The time-consuming manual keywording of digital assets is thus no longer necessary or can be greatly simplified and accelerated. In addition, all suggestions can be used directly in the search for your assets. Your search results will be better and your digital assets will be easier to find.

Automatic assignment of metadata

TESSA DAM can extract numerous metadata from your existing files and automatically save it to your assets. For this IPTC, EXIF and other information can be read out and used depending on the file format. This metadata is stored in a searchable way and make them usable for displaying your search results. In addition to the common information that can be extracted from IPTC and EXIF data, TESSA DAM can also access the following data:

  • Color information
    (for multi-page documents per page)
  • Alpha channels
  • Cut paths
  • GPS coordinates
  • ..and many others

Metadata from product and article information

Metadaten aus verknüpften Produkten

TESSA offers the ability to directly access product and article data compared to many other DAM systems. These product and article data can be accessed via the connection to your ERP or PIM system (eg Akeneo PIM ) or by importing your product data via CSV or Excel file into TESSA. Once TESSA has access to your product data, there are many possibilities to simplify working with your assets.

  • Automatically linking asset and product data
TESSA uses unique characteristics (such as the article number in the filename or folder path) to link assets and products together through intelligent and rule-based search. This feature is particularly recommended for the initial data transfer, since a large part of the resulting editorial work can be automated.
  • Looking for assets based on your product data
Once TESSA DAM has recognized a link between your assets and your products, you can search for any product features to find the assets you want. So you can, for example, search your product descriptions for any keywords - the result will then show all the assets associated with the relevant products.

Automatic text recognition (OCR)

Texterkennung und Metadatenermittlung über integrierte OCR Software

Use built-in text recognition and OCR functionality to turn your scanned documents, PDFs, and images into searchable digital assets. TESSA can recognize textual content on images and in scanned documents and store this data e.g. for integrated full-text searches.
