Mission

Creating perfect system connections

Before this project, Lamy was using a leaner media management system and did not yet have a comprehensive digital asset management software. After extensive market analysis, Lamy opted for Tessa DAM perfekt, combined with product information management software from Akeneo. LAMY wanted to create the perfect system link between DAM and PIM.

Challenge

Individual user interface based on the LAMY brand identity

The TESSA DAM interface was fully adapted to LAMY's design language — colors, fonts, and wording all reflect the corporate identity. Key users could work in a familiar environment from day one, significantly improving acceptance and reducing onboarding effort.

At the same time, the system had to be deployable worldwide: country managers in over 80 countries need constant access to the assets relevant to them, with precisely the permissions set by headquarters in Heidelberg. Granular rights and role management by country group is therefore a core requirement.

Solution

Automated presentations and exports

TESSA DAM enables LAMY to automatically generate PowerPoint presentations directly from media collections — using the stored LAMY template, complete with matching title and closing slides. This saves the sales team considerable time. In addition, a highly configurable Excel data export was developed for specific workflows.

Global media distribution and country-specific access rights

Through TESSA's integrated portal feature, all country organizations always receive the media collections approved for them — automatically, without manual coordination from Heidelberg. The granular rights and role management ensures that each user only sees the assets they are authorized to access.

Always in sync: TESSA and Akeneo

The certified Akeneo–TESSA connector synchronizes product data and media in real time between both systems. All product data from Akeneo PIM is available in the DAM and vice versa. For LAMY, this means a significantly reduced time-to-market across all seven marketing channels served simultaneously.
